Local Golf Courses

There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area, as well as the 20 or so around Lisbon. Our recommendations are:
 

Praia Del Rey (35kms/25 mins) - described as the most stunning golf course in Europe and one of the top courses in Portugal. The course is a combination of links holes and pine forest. A real must.

Bom Successo (30kms/25mins) - opened in September 2008, a new championship golf course designed by Donald Steel. Some challenging holes with narrow fairways. The last three holes are fantastic.

Quinta do Brincal/Golden Eagle (40kms/25mins) - the course has been totally revamped over recent years and is now fabulous. It is a very relaxed course with some stunning holes.
 

Campo Real (50kms/40mins) - new course designed by Donald Steel and opened in May 2005. There are some great views over the hills in the area.
 

Royal Obidos (30kms/25mins) - This is a brand new course opened in October 2011.  Some of the holes can be seen on the other side of the lagoon.
